Questions

What's the difference between Supporter and Pro GM?

Supporter is for players — all cosmetic flair (animated dice skins, badges) and unlimited cloud characters. Pro GM includes everything in Supporter and adds the GM-only dice set plus unlimited campaigns as GM, for people running several games at once. Both are, first and last, a way of chipping in.

Are the GM tools paywalled?

No. The worldbuilding suite, session prep, encounters, generators and maps are all free, and they stay that way. Pro GM buys headroom — campaigns past the free 1 — not access to features.

Do Supporters get unlimited campaigns?

No — Supporter keeps the free limit of 1 campaign as GM. Running more games at once is what Pro GM is for. Campaigns you merely play in never count against it, at any tier — you can join as many tables as you like on a free account.

How does billing work?

Everything runs through Stripe — payment, receipts, invoices and renewals. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel or update your card any time from the billing portal linked at the top of this page. Card details never touch our servers.

Are the cosmetics pay-to-win?

No — they're purely aesthetic. Dice skins, themes, and badges never change any rule, roll, or builder feature. The free default look is great on its own.

What counts as homebrew, and what's free?

Homebrew means defining a catalog entry that appears in no book — an item, a piece of cyberware, or a mod with stats you invented. It's free, and unlimited, on every tier, including making your own: a character builder you can't describe your GM's inventions in is a worse builder, so it isn't something I'll sell you. Assembling from the books' own catalogs — hulls, fittings, book weapons, book cyberware, the starship builder — is free forever too. The only paid piece is a Pro GM convenience: attaching a whole homebrew pack to a campaign so every player at your table gets it at once.

What happens to my homebrew if I stop supporting?

Nothing at all — it was never tied to supporting. Every entry stays yours, editable, and working on your characters and in your campaigns, whatever tier you're on.

What happens to my characters if I stop supporting?

Nothing is ever deleted. Characters over the free cloud limit stay readable and editable — you just can't add new cloud characters past the cap until you're under it or supporting again.

Is the rules content free?

Yes. CWN builds on the free editions of Stars/Cities/Worlds Without Number by Sine Nomine Publishing. We never paywall game rules.
