The Expert's bonus non-combat focus and its once-a-scene reroll make it the widest class in the game: it is the one that can take a skill from adequate to reliable and then lean on it every session. Expert builds diverge most in their background, which is where the free and quick skills that define what the character is actually competent at come from — so it is worth reading these from the background up rather than from the class down.

Every build here opens in the character builder as a starting point. Forking carries the mechanics — attributes, class, foci, skills — and never the original player's name, portrait or notes.
